PHARUS THE EGYPTIAN
Yesterday two sessions were grran by Pharos the Egyptian at the Plassa Theatre, and —ese attracted large attendances. Those who were present could not have left the theatre without being well satisfied with the work of Pharus. At the matinee an elderly woman was treated for sciatica and rheumatism, and a man was treated for acute neuritis. In each instance the patients left the stage without the aid of their sticks, and stated that they suffered no pain. The method of treatment was again fully explained at the evening session, and Pharus expressed his willingness to go before any body of citizens in the city and demonstrate, beyond a shadow of doubt, that every statement he made was true. Ho offered to give £5 to every person who still had a headache after five minntes of Ids treatment. Ho further stated that ho would give £SO to any hospital if, at the end of twelve days, a person could find hairs in a comb after combing for half an hour after having followed his directions. By rubbing the finger nails together for five minutes a day Phams stated that he would guarantee that all signs of nerves would vanish, and they would never return. His treatment was permanent, and ho would give £5 to any patient who could return the day following the treatment and say the pain was worse.
Two elderly men tamo forward for treatment, and both were limping and using sticks. One had suffered from lumbago and pains in the ankle for four years, and at the conclusion of the treatment lie picked an article off the floor and walked briskly off the siago without the aid of his stick. Ho stated that ho felt no pain. The other man. had suffered for four years from sciatica, and he also left the stage without the use of his stick. In conjunction with the Egytipan, an enjoyable picture programme was presented.
