PARLIAMENT’S RECOGNITION. [Per Unit'd Pp.css Association.] WELLINGTON, .\unc 24, Four members and ex-mernbers of the Legislature have passed away since iho lost session of Parliament. Their names will bo placed on record, and their sendees to their country will be recognised at the parliamentary “ tangi ” which takes place at the commencement of each session. Their names arc;—
The lion. Dr A. K. Newman, M.L.G., formerly Mayor of Wcllinuton, who for a great many years re pro .sen icd one or other of the Wellington .seals in Hie House of Representatives. He did not seek re-elec-tion in 11)22, and was appointed to the Upper House last year.
The Hon. Charles l/mirson, M.L.f., at. one time Mayor of Christchurch.
Mr John Slallworthy, who was member for Ivaipara for two Parliaments (1995-11), and was well known in North Auckland journalistic circles. The Hon. Gi.bcrt Carson, formerly member for Wanganui and AI.L.C.
