'VARSITY’ A AND B MATCH.
TO TIP* EDITOR. Sir. —Kindly allow me a little space in which to ventilate a grievance on behalf of ns Saturday afternoon Carisbrook enthusiasts. How is it that wo are not to see the two ’Varsity teams play? We have never had the opportunity of seeing these , two teams play yet; it is always on a Wednesday that these two teams meet. . Surely the football public of this city are entitled to have the opportunity of seeing the A and B teams play. Wo arc very constant in our attendance on Saturday afternoons, and why the Rugby Union ss going to hide this mairli from the regular patrons is past all comprehension. It would get a much bigger gate on a Saturday, and, even though it is a belated match, the football “fans” who can only ; get Saturday afternoon off are sorely entitled to see what 95 per cent, of the public have been expecting—viz., ’Varsity A and 1 Bon a Saturday.—l am, etc., Juno 23.
