Captain Sarto led to and over tho stand hurdles, Adjutor heading the hunch, Mazama last. Strathglass went to the front after half a mile. Red Kriss and Captain Fordo next. Captain Sarto caught Strathglass at the five furlongs, and went to Her front. Rod Kriss sprinted and caught Captain Sarto at the second last, forme, but Captain Sarto event away again ami won easily by two and a-half lengths, Strathglass two ' lengths further back, Adjutor fourth, ’Frisco Mail fell at the six furlough. Gold Spinner, first away from a good start, was passed by Obligio and Solferito. Bv the time tho halE-milo was readied Bolfcrite and Brilliant Hope were just in front of Gold Spinner and Red Cherry. Marmont took the lead on the hill, and led Solferito and Brilliant Hope by two lengths into the straight. Marmont was in trouble at the distance,, and Solfcnte did not light it out very well. Last Dart, who had como fast in tho last halt-mile, got on to win by nearly a length from Marmont., who beat Bon Skirl by a m-ck, Brilliant Hope, Beau, and Fabriano next. Time, Train 45 l-sscc. The field stood very still at the post, Kilfane and Franca i.-c on tin l inside. A beautiful stall. Franca iso end Boadicea wmc quickest to move, leading Kilfane and Scion. Tim field closed up a bit as they approached the mile, Palestrina then being last. At riie seven furlongs Boadicea. jest beaded Francaisc, the, latter pulling bard. At (ho five furlongs Francaisc was just in front of Boadicea, Kilfane next. In tho same order they ran past the half-mile, where Ban Salvador commenced to move ii]i. Palestrina- joined the bunch before reaching Hie straight, into which Boadicea led from Francaisc and San Salvador. Palestrina caught Boadicea 100yds from home, and won a finely-judged race by half a length Ban Salvador was three lengths away, then .Francaisc, Mantua, and Wnpping. Knknnie was last. Pamplona joined Galway going (o the half-mile, and the two led throughout until half a mile from homo, where Whipcord joined, the three talcing the water jump in Hue. Galway was one stride in front of Pamplona over the 1.-e t, fence, but on the fiat Pamplonacame along and won nicely by one and a hall lengths, Whipcord two lengths away, Ruddy Gold ICO.yds back. Corn Rigs quickly passed Bella Lake and was in turn passed by Avispado, After two furlongs riie field closed up. Avispado leading Corn Rigs and The Harp. Corn Rigs led The Harp and Avispado into the straight, where Avispado got ;i slant on the rails and took cliarge. Outside the distance, Weldone came with a great run, and, catching Avispado 100yds from he-rno, won comfortably by a short length, Avispado half a length away, Bloom just behind: The Harp fourth, and Corn Rigs fifth.
