ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
BODY FOUND NEAR RAILWAY LINK. The body of a middlo-agod man was picked up this morning on Rinmtaka Hill, near tho railway line on the Cross Creek side of tho summit tunnel. It had evidently been there, since Saturday night. There was a mark on the back of the head. The body was brought to Feathcrston. So"far it has not been identified.Carterton Press Association telegram. FRACTURED LIMBS. David Thompson, aged thirty-four years, was admitted to, tho hospital on Saturday evening suffering from a fracture of the right arm. The injury wigs sustained through being knocked down by a motor car in Princes street south. Ho resides in Tennyson street. George MVutchoon. aged seventeen years, sustained a fracture of tho left, arm on Saturday afternoon through slipping and falling heavily in Manuka street, Ravens bourne. The lad, who resides in Junction road, Ravonsbonrne, was admitted to the hospital for treatment. SHEEP FARMER’S DEATH. A Gisborne Press Association telegram states that Clifford Hood, aged forty-eight years, married, a sheep farmer at Kanakiwiaia, was found dead with a gunshot wound in his head. The gun was beside him. A Wellington Association message states that Thomas Williams, aged seventy-three, was mi over by a motor in Courtenay place, and lies in hospital in a critical condition. A cyclist named John Rogers fell from his machine near the cemetery, and received severe concussion of tho brain.
