Aii extremely pleasant time was spent Tadt evening in the Art Gallery Hall on the occasion of a social and dance, (hold :n connection with the South Dunedin Labor i’arly. Mr D. Gridgman otlickted capably us M.C., .Messrs R. Neville and G. Dry rendered appropriate music, and tlie lady iuomibers of the South Dunedin branch provided refreshments. The social was a complete success in every way, and as a result the branch lias decided to hold a similar function next Wednesday. Tiny pictures, on the linger nails, carried out in harmless thin enamels, are a fashion fad among London society women..
