Queen Ida got into a handy position, but Kit the fen.ee and stopped Monev Spider led. Going along the back the some position was maintained, but at- the far turn T<?lairo had taken charge. Harewood resumed command on passing the. stand <% second time from Tekiro, Irish Imp, and Hvlas. Jolly Chimes moved np at flie ihack, and on entering on the final lap the order was Harewood, Telr.ro, i\a.to Thorpe, and Jollv Chimes. At the far turn Kaito Thorpe broke when going well. Harewood just led Telnro into the straight, .but the latter stayed on to win by a"neck, Stunt ArtiM twenty-five, lengths n.way, then Lucky Dillon, Malice, and Peter the Painter. Time, smin Isec.

Ladycliff Jed Marvin Bell and Major Domo' for a-quarter mile, when Marvin Brfl broke. Boimotte was in second place a.fiter a, lap, Major Domo nest, with alap to go. Ln.dycl.iff led Bornneibte three lengths, and Bon' Sonty was third. Ladycliff broke a furlong further on, but was still one of the leading four. In the home streltdh Merry BLnigcin and Bon Sonty came along together, but Bon Sonty had the bit in hand 'to win by over a lengih and a-Mf. Ma.for Domo was only a length and a.-faalf away, then. Others: 3 Brutus (scr, 0. E. Hooper), 4 Locanda Mac (12yds, A. Fleming), 7 Locanda Dillon (24yds, F. Holmes, jun.), 6 Loganwood (24yds, G. S. Smith). Ahuriri refused to strike the gait unti] half a furlong had been covered. In passing the. stand Locanda Mac led from Brutus, Ahuriri, and Loganwood. Along the back Loganwood ran into third place, but tho field was running in close order. Passing the stand the second time, Brutus was in command from Locanda Mac, Ahuriri, and Loganwood. Brutus drew out ten lengths in tho lead going along the bark, and beginning the last lap led Ahuriri, Man-o'-War, Locanda Mac, and LoganChief in that order. At the far turn Ahuriri went, up, and just led Brutus, Man-o'-War, and Logan Chief. At the far turn Ahuriri still led from Man-o'-War and Logan Chief. Two furlongs from home. Logan Chief moved up, and at the distance had Ahuriri beaten, and in the run home won comfortably by a length and .vhalf j half a length' second and third; Brutus fourth. Time, 4min 47 3-ssec. Meddler and Rebel were slow to move. Kelpie was smartest to begin, and led Gladwell and Cocoa. With a lap to go, Kelpie was just in front of Cocoa, with Afton Water, Rollicking Bells, and J.laorc Ra all of a heap close up. A fine race between the five of them, until Haere Ra got to the lead, in the straight, winning by a length and a-quarter; third a length "off; then Cocoa and Af toil Water. Time, 4min 3 3-ssec.
