Mitchell Thompson _(C.) in the course of tho Budget discussion. The mover advanced a strong plea on behalf of the Crown Colonics, which, ho said, were specially concerned. The amendment was rejected by 240 votes to 182.—Reuter. LOANS TO THE ALLIES. BRITISH TAXPAYER'S 'BURDEN. LONDON, May 7.
