Air Britten (a member of the House of Representatives), a Republican, who is on the Naval Committee, has announced that ha will introduce a resolution to the House to-day for the purpose of ascertaining the strength of the United .States Navy compared with those of Britain and Japan. lie said ho would call the attention of the country to the shocking state of its unpreparedness in the naval sense, adding : “ I am certain that our navy is not on a parity with that of Great Britain. lam not so sure that Japan is very far behind us, notwithstanding our right under the 'Washington Conference Treaty to be nearly twice her size.”—Reuter.
