The Breeze is due to-morrow from Lyttelton, and is listed to sail to-morrow night for Timarn, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rnahine arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Auckland. She is to sail on Thursday .for Wellington, from which port she is timed to sail at 3 p.m. on Tuesday next for Southampton and London via Panama. The Kaiwnrra is to leave Wellington today for Now Plymouth, and from that port goes on to Melbourne.
The Federal Company advises that, the Pinko, from Wanganui, is due at Wellington on Wednesday, and will subsequently proceed to Napier, Gisborne, WTiakatane. and Auckland. Flic is to leave Auckland about -the middle of May for West of England ports. Messrs Holm and Gn. report that Hie, shin Forest Home has been renamed the Holmwood. and Wellington has been altered to her port- of registration. Kho has been thoroughly overhauled. The Holmwood will soon commence trading under the auspices of Holm and Co. The Union Company’s freighter Wnihemo sailed early this morning for Wellington and New Plymouth to discharge the remainder of her cargo from Pacific Const ports, f-'he will afterwards go to Newcastle to load for New Zealand. The Kamo will load at Greyinnuth about Thursday for Bluff and T)unedin. Slums duo here early next week, and after discharge will load general cargo fur W eslport and Greymouth. Tho fnrinna is to leave Onehr.nga on Friday for Wellington and Dunedin. The will load here early next week for way ports and New Plymouth. The Waiieinafa is due at this port on Thursday from Lyttelton to discharge •> quantity of phosnhates. Flic will complete discharge at Bluff. The Navna. is.to leave Auckland to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dnnedm. She should arrive here early next week. A wireless message received by tho Union Company from tho captain of the WTiancnpe states that the vessel will arrive in (lie Lower Harbor to-morrow afternoon from Newcastle. The Whanaupe is bringing a full cargo of coal for discharge at Dunedin.
The Waipnri is due at Geelong to-mor-row from Sydney to load wheat for Timam and Oamaru.
The Kaiapoi was exnccted to leave Newcastle yesterday, coal laden, for Auckland. The' Ka ikorai is to leave Auckland morrow for Newcastle to load for New Zealand.

THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahine arrived at Lyttelton at 7.50 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and mails and nasseiige-rs connected with the first express for the south. KAITA.NGATA LEAVES MELBOURNE. The Union Company advises that the Kaitansrata left Melbourne on Satm-dav, cargo laden, for Dunedin direct. She is due here on Friday, and after landing part cargo will go in Lyttelton. Wellington. and Auckland to discharge the icmainder. THE CITY OF ADELAIDE. The City of Adelaide, which left New York on April Id for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, sailed from Panama on Wednesdav last. She is due at Auckland on May 20. TURAKINA LEAVES PANAMA. The Federal Line lias received news by cable that the Tnrakina arrived at Panama on April 20 from Liverpool, and sailed again on April 29 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
SUSSEX LEAVES TOWNSVILLE. The Union Company’s steamer Sussex left Townsville at 7 a.m. on Wednesday last for Auckland, where she is duo on May 8. She has cargo frorn Calcutta, Singapore, and Samarang for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. PAKEHA’S LOADING PORTS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha is expected to arrive at Auckland from Australia on May 31. After loading at that port she will proceed to Opua, Hicks Bay, Gisborne, Wellington, Port Chalmers,’and Bluff to complete loading. She will leave the last-named port about Juno 13 for London via Cape Horn. WAIKOUAITI LEAVES HOBART. Advice received by the Union Company states that the Waikonaiti left Hobart at noon on Saturday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton. and Timaru. She is bringing general cargo from Sydney and a largo quantity of timber from Tasmania for discharge at the ports named. The vessel is due at Bluff on Thursday, and Dunedin about Saturday. VESSELS FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The Swayne and Hoyt steamer West Nilus is scheduled to leave San Francisco on May 10 for Lyttelton, Timarn, and Dunedin. The Hollywood, another Swayne and Hoyt steamer, will load at Pacific Coast ports, and is scheduled to leave on June 11, arriving at Auckland at the beginning of July. DORSET LEAVES PANAMA. A cable message to the Federal Lino announces that the Dorset left Panama on April 22 for New Zealand, en route from Liverpool. She is due at Auckland on. May 19, and at Dunedin about two weeks later. MAHIA LEAVES LONDON. Cable news received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company states that the Mahia sailed from Loudon on April 30 with general cargo for discharge at_ Auckland and Lyttelton. The vessel is due at Auckland on June 6. ATHENIC FOR WELLINGTON. A cable message to the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company states that the liner Athenic sailed from Southampton on the afternoon of May 1 with passengers and cargo for Wellington and Lyttelton. The vessel is due at Wellington on Juno 8. NGAKUTA’S STORMY VOYAGE. After a stormy voyage from Rarotonga the Union Company’s steamer Ngakuta arrived at Auckland last Wednesday night. The Ngakuta experienced a stormy trip to Rarotonga, and on the return to Auckland she ran into a series of hard gales from east to north-east. These were accompanied with heavy seas. As a result the vessel was delayed two days on the voyage to Auckland. Having been recently commissioned, the Ngakuta was making her initial voyage in the Eastern Pacific trade. She 'brought an exceptionally large cargo, consisting of 20,600 cases of fruit, principally oranges. ’The Ngakuta was to leave 'Auckland on Saturday for the Islands.
SOLD TO EASTERN BUYERS.
\ f i An important shipping sale lodic'place at Sydney recently, when the well-known interstate steamers Cccluna and Caniara, which have been lying idle for some time past, changed hands. Both vessels have been purchased by Messrs J. M’Leod, Bolton, and Co., and will proceed to the East, loading wheat cargoes in the Commonwealth.
The Ccduna is a steel screw steamer of 2.615 tons gross, and 1,614 tons net. She was built and engined in 1894 by the Naval Construction and Armanent Company, of Barrow, and lias a length of 312 ft, beam of 40ft 2in. and depth of 24ft 7iu. Formerly known as the Clan Mackav, she is classed 100 A 1 at Lloyd s, and is'fitted with triple expansion engines. The Canlara was formerly known as the Clan Ross. She is a vessel of 2,624 tons cross, and 1,502 tons net, with a length of 312 ft, beam 40ft Sin, and depth of '24ft Tin. 'She. was launched in 1894 from the yards of the Naval Construction and Armament Company at Barrow. CARGO FROM MELBOURNE. The Union Company advises that the Kaiwnrra- lias been fixed to load at Melbourne towards the end of next week for Bluff, Dunedin, Timarn, and Wanganui. The vessel is to leave Wellington, to-day for New Plymouth and Melbourne. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
