BARNES BEFORE COURT,
REMANDED ON -MURDER CHARGI.

Joseph Barnes was charged at the 'Magistrate’s Court this morning with the murder of John Whall, and on the application of the police was remanded for seven days. Counsel merely asked that accused be not taken to the gaol until ho had the opportunity to get him medically examined. It is understood that the examination is in regard to bruises on accused’s body.
