SCHOONER'S ORDEAL

A BAD BATTERING. [Per United Press Association,] GISBORNE, May 2. The schooner Joseph Sims, from Port Huon, Tasmania, met with _ heavy weather, and was blown 150 miles out of her course. Seas carried away a large portion of her bulwarks, the lifeboat was stove in, and the deck cargo washed overboard. The sails were also damaged.
