FOUR CENTRES COMPARED. Tho full return published in the ‘Gazette’ shows that the total revenue of the Post ami Telegraph Department for tho December quarter of la-st year amounted to £871,045, as against. £800,246 for tho corresponding quarter of 1922, malting an increase of rather more than £70,000 lor the quarter. The total postal revenue was £313,414 for the quarter, as compared with £404,720 for the December quarter of 1922; and the total telegraph revenue £557,630, as against £395,625. Postages for the quarter show a falling off of £93,000 odd, from £380,690 to £287,587; and telegrams a decrease of some £9,000, from £188,490 to £179,203. Tho revenue from the telephone exchanges, however, shows an increase of upwards of £170,000, from £201,650 to £371,841. Tho figures for the four main centres compare ns follow : —•
