LONDON, January 27, (Received January *2B, at 9.35 a.m.) The ‘ Morning Post’s ’ Vienna correspondent says:—“Mr Philip Snowden (British Chancellor of the Exchequer), in an article in the English supplement to the ‘ None Freie Presse,’ expresses the Labor Party’s aversion to alliances and policies of equilibrium. Ho demands world disarmament, based on a -universal agreement.” Mr Snowden says that his party advocates a thorough revision of the peace treaties as being indispensable to appeasement and to the economic reconstruction of Europe. The party demands an immediate and. generous settlement of reparations and the mutual cancellation of interallied debts. The Labor Party, Mr Snowden says, has no sympathy with the theories and practices of the Bolsheviks, but it favors unrestricted recognition of the Soviet Government. NEW ALLIANCE PREDICTED. ANGLO-AMERICAN-GERMAN ENTENTE. LONDON, January 27. (Received January 28, at 9.35 a.m.) Mr Gooch, editor of the ‘ Contemporary Review,’ contributes an article to the English supplement of the ‘ None FreiePresse,’ in which he predicts an Anglo-American-German Entente as a result of France’s lack of judgment. Ho says That France’s dictatorship is approaching its end, and Britain’s power will rise in the same degree that France’s declines.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
