TWO OUTBREAKS IN QUEENSLAND. Press As relation—By Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. BRISBANE, January 16. A fire at Laidley destroyed tho Post Office and a number of other buildings. Another outbreak at Winton destroyed twelve shops and two hotels. There was extensive damage in both cases. VICTORIAN BUSH FIRES. MELBOURNE, January 16. Bush fires in the Harcourt and Big Hill districts caused many thousands of pounds worth of damage. At one time the fires burned along a front of over ten miles, threatening the township of Harcourt. There were many narrow escapes. The fires are now in control except on the Sutton range. MARCUS CLARK’S FIRE. SYDNEY, January 16. The damage at Clark’s fire amounted to £50,000. The amount of tho insurance is £40,050.
