JUDGMENT SUMMONS.
Emily H- Siedeberg proceeded against John Corcoran on a judgment summons for the recovery of £8 15s 3d for professional services rendered to defendant’s wile. Mr W. G. Hay appeared for the judgment creditor, and there was no appearance of defendant.—An order was made for the payment of the amount due forthwith, with costs, the alternative being eight days’ imprisonment. WHEELWRIGHTS’ CLAIM. Macdonald and Kenyon, blacksmiths and wheelwrights, claimed from George Philip Childs the sum of £l4 5s for work done and goods supplied in repairing defendant’s express. Mr W. Ward appeared for plaintiffs.—After hearing both parties the Magistrate gave judgment for the amount claimed, with costc (£4 2s). UNDEFENDED CASES. Judgment, with costs, was given by default in the following cases;—Charles An* drew Martin v. John Joseph Finnerty (Christchurch), £4 14s, for musical toition of defendant’s daughter; Macdonald and Kenyon v. Albert E. Brookes, £5 17s 6d, work done and goods supplied; Albert Horace Waters v. James Grant and Amy Grant (Nightcaps), £77 3s 6d, instalments due on mortgage; Mrs E. C. Simpson v, W. Stanley, £5 15s, groceries supplied; D. Buchanan and Co. v. George Dunn (Wairaate), £4 14s, groceries supplied; William Jury v. Norman A. Weir (Anderson Bay), £1 Bs, milk supplied; Benjamin N. Tait v. G. G. Gunn (Waimate), £2 16s, account stated; 0. M. Smith and Co., Ltd v. Upper Hutt Transport Company, £2 6s 6d, gCnds supplied ; same v. Hayhurst Motor Company (Waitara), £22 5s 3d, goods supplied.
