WARSHIPS' MOVEMENTS
VERONICA AND LABURNUM FOUR MONTHS’ CRUISE. His Majesty’s ships Laburnum and Veronica left Auckland on Thursday last on a cruise of the dominion ports. The first mentioned ship goes to Wnangaroa, where she was due to arrive on January 12. From there she will go to Port Fitzroy and Hauraki Gulf on January 21 and 27, and then return to Auckland on February 6. On February 22 she will proceed to Wellington, arrive there on February 25, and return to Auckland on March 12. .She will leave again on March 24, and arrive at Port Fitzroy the same day. Gisborne, the next port of call, will be reached on April 2, Napier on April 7, and Timaru on April 18. On April 25 the Laburnum will arrive at Lyttelton, and remain there until May 4, when she will sail for Auckland and arrive there on May 8, after a cruise of approximately four months. The Veronica’s Itinerary is as follows: Arrive Whangaroa, January 12; return to Hauralri Gulf, January 21, after spending nine days in the North, and arrive at Auckland on February 6, to remain until February 22, during the visit of the Japanese squadron of training cruisers. On February 25 the Veronica will be due at Wellington, and will afterwards visit Wanganui (March 10 to 17), New Plymouth (18 to 25), Nelson (26 to April 2), Milford Sound (5 to 7), Bluff (9 to 16), Oamaru (17 to 25), Dunedin (25 to May 5), arriving back at Auckland on May 10, In completion of the cruise. Both the war sloops will be at Auckland 'for the visit of the British squadroru
