Walls has declared his willingness to accept Mr Riokards’s offer. Stewart knocked out Algy Daniels in the eighteenth round for the middleweight championship of Australia. Stewart injured both his hands, and was very distressed ait the finish. SWIMMING. At the 245yds mark they were together, and at 555y'ds Charlton was in front. At 380yds he hod gained two more yards. Twenty yards from home the Swede was completely ;spent. Fifteen yards separated Borg and Christie. Charlton’s time equals Borg’s world’s record, which was established at Stockholm in 1922.

Murrell and 0. Okridgo were together over several laps, the two touched the rope together. It was one of the best races witnessed in Wellington for soma time. F. Moliier was third.
