A Press Association report from London, dated 27bh August, s states that 1,000 persons in the vicinity of Sofia were poisoned by drinking water contaminated by lead. Lead contamination of water dno to simple causes, and for this reason Thomson's, of this City, convoy all water through pure block tin silverplated pipes. The only water used is sterile artesian water direct from the famous bore which taps the third rock strata 200 ft below the surface.
