Official : The draft agreement respecting the restoration of Wkii-hai-wei provides that Britain shall return the full sovereignty of Liu-kung-tno Island to China, China allowing the British Navy to use the anchorage after the Chinese navy, and lending certain lands and buildings to the British Navy for the purpose of recreation and instruction. China will maintain Lin-kung-tao as a naval base. Similarly, the whole of the leased territory on 'the mainland will bo returned to China, Britain will return all Government lands and buildings (gratis, China placing certain specified land and buildings at the disposal of Britain, The territory to bo governed by a Chinese administrator. except the afore-mentioned territory.—Renter.
