The hall is being transformed into an English village, timbered and red-tiled, with the traditional pump. The preparation and building of this village, to which the nams “ WirtJuvyle ” has been given, lias taken many weeks, but the results are worth it, and it will bo one of tho most picturesque fairs seen in Dunedin. The tea room will bo turned into a thing of beauty in the form of a palm garden. The work stalls will be furnished by St. Michael’s Guild —a guild that, not without reason, prides itself on tho quality and variety of its work. Mr A. Hart, of Lawrence, is making a notable contribution to tho flower stall. At “Ye Arte Shoppe” there will bo on sale a few exhibition photographs by the Rev. H. 0. Fenton, F.R.P.S.. Tho village pump will take tho place of the bran tub, and, together with tiro lucky bag stall and “ Ye Babooneries,” will delight tho young folk. Tho variety stall will be well stocked, especially with literature. Old English dresses will be the order of the day. First-class entertainments by well-known performers will take place each evening. The price of admission has been fixed at a very low figure.
