A MENDING APRON.

A very homely gift, albeit a useful ono for the mother' who has to mend for a number of small people, Ls> a mooning anron.

A email apron, about 18in wide and 27in in depth, is made in cretonne, holland, or any available material, and is finished at the top with a ribbon to tie round the waist. A rather deep pocket is made at the very bottom the entire width of tho apron, and in it ore kept the socks and stockings to be darned. Above it a series of small pockets are made, in which are kept needles and different kinds of mending wools, silks, and cotton.

It is bo easy to roll it up with tho unfinished work inside when the interminable job of mending has to Le put on ono sido to bo finished on) another occasion.
