(Received September 28, at 9.20 a.m.) Tho ‘ Daily Express ’ states that tho late Mr Aubrey Herbert, M.P., was present when his half-brother (Lord Carnarvon) opened Tutankhamen’s tomb, Mr Herbert was deeply impressed with the solemnity of tho occasion, and remarked to a bystander: “ Something dreadful is going to happen to our family.” Lord Carnarvon died within a few weeks, and now Mr Herbert lias died at Dio age of forty-four.—A, and N.Z.
