LONDON, September 26, The British Empire Producers’ Organisation, to which a number of leading dominion and colonial associations are affiliated, has prepared a memorandum for submission to tho Economic Conference containing recommendations on Empire preference, the development of Empire resources, and arrangement*? to ensure the continuity of the work initiated by the conference.

The memorandum asks the conference to use its influence in tho direction of giving all contracts to Empire firms, and also urges tho conference to co-ordinate the food supplies upon a basis of the Empire as a whole. It recommends the Imperial and overseas Governments to establish a fund to advertise tho use of Empire products within the Empire, and suggests the creation of a committee composed of home and overseas Government. _ representatives to carry on tho Economic Conference’s work, it also recommends that future reductions in income tax do not apply to dividends from foreign investments, and that preferential import duties be granted in the form of definite money value. Lastly, the memorandum proposes assistance for agriculture by giving Britain the first right to supply her homo market and the dominions second preference.— Reuter.
