ANDERSON BAY GLEE CLUB

An attractive programme has been arranged for the annual concert to be given on Tuesday and Thursday next. As usual, the club's own work forma tho greater part of tho evening's entertainment, there being no fewer than twelve part songs. Maunder’s virile sotting of ‘ Tho Song of Thor,’ Balfour Gardiner’s clover arrangement of 1 Sir Elgamore,’ and German’s 1 The Chase ’ have independent piano parts, all the others being unaccompanied. ‘ Sunrise ’ is a splendid chorus with broad effects in eight-part harmony. Two gems are * Homeward' (by Henry Leslie) and ‘ Tho Shepherd’s Lament ’ (by Smart), The Glee Club has been fortunate in arranging for solos from Mrs Andrews and Mr W. N. Satterthwaite. Mr H. B. Austin# will appear aa a flute soloist.
