INSULIN TREATMENT
REPORTED CURE,
LONDON, August 28. John Keigb.tley, five years old, whose parents live in Johannesburg, was suffering from diabetes. His condition was so desperate that tho doctors told his mother that the only chance was to dash across tho world for insulin, treatment in London. The boy collapsed, on the steamer train from Southampton, and arrived' in a London hospital in a diabetic coma. His Wood sugar had fallen to 0.02, the lowest record in medical history. Has bones were so brittle that the nurses were afraid to handle his limbs for fear that they would break. The boy remained comatose for days, Ibu-t tho doctors were tireless. They began by giving the boy ton unit® of insulin. Ho is now cured, and will return to Johannesburg on Friday.
