BUNKER FIRE
<• WATEESIDERS CLAIM EXTRA PAY. [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 7. Tho work of discharging coal from tho Westmoreland's bunkers into a lighter was continued last night and to-day by members of tho crew, who will also reload it after tho vicinity ol Wednesday’s fire has been examined. The waterside workers worked from noon to 10 last evening, but others refused to accept work as tho Now Zealand Company declined to pay extra for “ salvage work,” ns tho waterside workers termed It. One gang went to tlis steamer in the stream this morning, but returned ashore.
It is expected that the vessel will sail for England on Monday.
