FOURTH LARGEST ORGAN

INSTALLED IN PNIVATE HOUSE. [From Odu London Correspondent.] June 14. There la a private residence in London, of which few people even in London have heard, which boasts the fourth largest organ in the world. This comparatively "modest mansion, so far as its actual size goes, is on Wimbledon Common, It was built by a wealthy gentleman whose grand passion was music and the organ. He took steps to. ensure that his hobby, in its supreme expression, would be adequately provided at home. And ho had built into the Wimbledon residence a magnificent organ. It sounds almost absurd, in the case of'a private house, but this organ is larger than the wellknown instrument in the Albert Hall. To other tenants such a household treasure might be almost worse than a white elephant. Presumably, unless the soft pedal is mercifully kept on, the volume of sound, when the organ is all out, must render the place such a Cave of Harmony that only an enthusiast could support it.
