LOSS OF KETCH EDNA

.INVESTIGATION REOPENED.

AUCKLAND, July 20. Rehearing of the formal investigation into the loss of the ketch Edna last February at the entrance to Parengarenga Harbor commenced to-day before a Nautical Commission comprised of Mr Justice Herdman, Captain Fleming, and Captain Airev.

Tho rehearing was brought at the instance of the Minister of Marine. At the previous investigation the court exonerated the master, Captain Henry John Bart, and found that the loss was duo to the “ peril of tho soa.”
