Mario, wife of Fahmy Bey, appeared at tho Bow Street Police Court on a charge of murdering her husband, “Prince” Fahmy Bey, at tho Savoy Hotel some days ago. Counsel for the prosecution, said that the accused admitted shooting Fahmy Bey. Ho had boon threatening her, and when he advanced towards her in tho corridor she pointed her revolver andl pulled' the trigger several times. Defending counsel stated that he would contest the translation of tho statement, and submit that the accused actually said that Fahmy Bey threatened to kill her. Tlie deceased’s secretary, in crossexamination, denied that Fahmy Bey knocked his wife about on the day of tiio marringe. Tho case was adjourned.—A. and 1 . N.Z. Gable.
