Mr William Quin, an Invercargill merchant, who has just returned from a visit to tho East, says that Chinese officials in Poking claim that the Chinese discovered Australia 2,000 years ago. They base their claim on a book, known as ‘ Tho Classic of Mountain and Flood,’ in tho archives of China.
