Sir, —I was glad to sec the loiter by “Givis” in your issue last evening with regard to tho C.T.A. appeal, and would point out that tho footnote dues not answer tho question which the writer probably had in view. (agent for tho Salvation Army is given tho money direct, while the officers of the other philanthropic religious organisations have to act under the direction of the Citizens’ Relief Committee?
Either treat all alike or else hand over all tho money to the Citizens’ Committee to deal with" and thus obviate tho overlapping which must, take place, owing (o the fact that the Salvation Army is acting independently of all other relict agencies.— I am, etc., ' Interested. July 20.
