VALUELESS CHEQUE

WELLINGTON, July 4. The well-known racehorse trainer Percy Robert Edwards was arrested at Waikanae, yesterday on a charge of issuing a valueless cheque for £6. ■ At the court to-day counsel said 1 accused was of previous good character, and his employers were anxious to retain his services.
Accused pleaded guilty, and was admitted to probation for twelve months, restitution of the money to be made. „
