The D.J.C. races are fixed for Saturday of this week and Monday ami Wednesday i of next week The course is in good order, and if the j present fine weather continues it should be splendid going. The races are admittedly hard to pick. Messrs Gordon and Curry aro to be the : stipendiary stewards on duty. Jester—Hvpatia fillv, but b© really bought I No. 13, a'black Jester—Palm Branch filly. 1 Ho entered his purchase as a Hypatia filly for several races, and ran her in that 1 name at Epsom before winning at Gat- | wick. That night the purchaser of the real ITvpatia filly telephoned him that she had been shipped abroad. Ho immediately reported the facts to tho racing I authorities.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
