HOCKEY, OTAGO ’VARSITY DRAWS WITH VICTORIA COLLEGE. .The interuniversity hockey match Otigo v. Victoria College was played at Karori Park, Wellington, yesterday, and resulted in a draw._ The ground was in bad condition. During the game heavy showers of rain fell, and play for the most part was very ragged, although there were some bright flashes. Otago had slightly the better of the first half, but in spite of their determined attack were unable to penetrate the Wellington defence. At half-time there was no scoi». The second half was very even. Soon after starting Bridgcman scored for Otago, and shortly afterwards Foeden brought the score level again. Bridgeman, BuVon, and Davies were the most prominent of the Otago players, while Foeden, Cousins, and Hain played well for Victoria College. PRIMARY SCHOOLS' SOCCER.
