BOLSHEVISM IN AUSTRALIA
LETTER FROM THE SOVIET GOVERNMENT. The Russian Soviet Government .is in constant secret communication with tile Communist section of the Sydney Trades Hall unions. A letter has been received at the Sydney Trades Hall on behalf of the Russian Government “ extending greetings to the workers of Australia.” The letter stated: ‘'Your political and industrial life is a cynosure of deep interest to the working class of all lands. If your battles carry you into the political arena as class-conscious workers there is no reason for you to be afraid so long as your union regulations protect your members from. the contamination of political chicanery. In Russia the workers are organised along the lines of industry. “ In Russia the workers now occupy the palaces and mansions that they originally built for the master class. The churches still stand, but have been stripped of their dominant powers and most of their valuables, which have been used to feed those who are famine-stricken. Your alignment in Australia with the Communist International and the Red Labor Union International shows your stability and determination, in N which we wish you the greatest success.”
