AMNESTY TO POLITICAL OFFENDERS. TURKS AGREE, BUT GREEKS DEMUR, Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LAUSANNE, May 20. Tho Turks have been persuaded to grant an amnesty to all political offenders except 150 who may bo banished from Turkey. The Allies,are now trying to persuade M. Yonizcdos to arrange a similar Greek amnesty for military offenders. M. Venieolos pleads that an amnesty would 1 undermine tho discipline in the Greek army.—A. and N.Z, Cable. M. VOROWSKY’S DEATH. BERNE, May 20. Tho Swiss Government has received a Note from the Soviet Government ohargit with the responsibility for the murder of M. Vorowsky. The Federal Council replied declining tho responsibility for tho assassination, and refusing the demands contained in the Russian Note. Tho Council'declared that the Russian delegation at Lausanne, not being official in character, was not entitled to the privileges accorded the official delegations to the conference.— A. and N.Z.
