Significance is attached to a Brussels telegram published by ‘ Le Temps’ stating that the Belgian Government would shortly hand to the French Government communications which express the views of Belgium on the manner of settling the reparations business.—A. and N.Z. Cable. THE WERDEN SENTENCES. CONFIRMED BY COURT MARTIAL. BERLIN, May 20. (Received May 21, at 10 a.m.) A general court martial at Dusseldorf confirmed the sentences at the Krupp trial, with the exception of that of Herr Mueller, who was granted leave to apply for a retrial.—A. and N.Z. Cable. [Herr Krupp and his fellow-directors (Osterlen and Hartburg) were each sentenced to fifteen years’ imprisonment, and each was fined 100,000,000 marks. Bnxhn received ten years, and was fined 100,000,000 marks. The sentence imposed on Mueller, a member of the Workers’ Council, was six months. Heavy sentences were also imposed on industrialists who were absent.]
