LEAGUE OR COURT?

SENATOR BORAH’S OPPOSITION.

Preas Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.

WASHINGTON, May 18,

Senator Borah has opened his campaign against American participation in the World Court. He declared that the Court is bound to tho League of Nations because it is the League’s adviser. Thus it is inconsistent for tho United States Administration to support the Court while condemning its parent. Senator Borah said that every_ war and every invasion of territory since tho League was formed had been bv a member of the - League; while every cb'sarmamcnt move had been opposed by members of the League. Greece was a member of the League when the invaded Asia Minor; Poland was a member when she fought Eastern Galicia; Lithuania was a member when she took Memel; and France was a member when she invaded the Ruhr.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
