PHARAOH’S TREASURES
INTERESTING RELICS,

The process of preparing the treasures taken from Tutankhamen’s tomb at Luxor for transport to Cairo has revealed other objects, which include bows ornamented with decorated bark. Sonae are of curious double formation. On© is finely worked and has at either end the representation of tho nock of an Asiatic or Nubian foeman, carved to form notches for the bowstring. Another is a veritable treasure. It is a compound bow coated with a thick sheet of gold of great weight. It is in perfect condition, and elaborately ornamented with .granulated work inlaid with caloito and colored glass. Many gloves of fin© textile have been found; also a completes set of linen finger stalls, with the tapes still attached.
Some beautiful glass varies have boon found, and a redwood inlaid box containing four balls of incense. Portion of this tested in tbo laboratory gave off a pleasing aromatic smell.
