O.R.F.U. Tho weekly meet ing of the Committee of Management was held last evening, Mr W. J. Wilson (president) occupying the chair. CARISUROOK GROUND. It was decided that, in consequence of tho bad stale of Carisbrook, no training should lake place on the ground this week. Permission was given to the Southern Club to use tho dressing shed under the old stand. The players, however, will only be permitted to train on tho outside of the ground in the meantime. GENERAL. D. M‘K. Dickson, hon. secret-ary of the University Club, wrote stating that Potaka, who had applied for a transfer from University to Pirates, was at present attending classes at the University. His club had no objection to the transfer. —Potaka appeared before the committee, and said that the reason why ho desired to transfer was that he was being dropped down to third grade.—lt was decided ihat Potaka must give twelve months’ notice of his intention to transfer. The application by A. Burt for a transfer from Southern to Green Island was reconsidered.—Tho committee decided to adhere to its previous decision and refuse the application. J. M. Brown was granted a transfer from Waikiwi to Taieri Rovers. Messrs Harris, Nelson, and Dunne were appointed delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union, to bo held at Wellington on Thursday. The secretary reported that tho gale receipts for last Saturday amounted to £lO5 4s 3d. F. Wilson was -granted a transfer (from the Port Chalmers Club to the Pirates Club. W. M. Bain wrote stating that he wished to withdraw his application for a transfer from Southern to Zingari, as he intended turning out for his old club again.—A transfer was granted, provided that Bain has not played for Zingari. O.F.A. Tho weekly meeting of the executive was held last night, the president (Mr E. J. Anderson) occupying the chair. It was decided to open the competitions in the five grades on Saturday next, and to redraw the fifth grade teams to permit of the admission of two now teams.
The Secretary of the Southern Club, in acknowledging receipt of the association’s letter with regard to military defaulters, wrote that in 1915 his club passed a resolution that military defaulters were not eligible, for membership.—The Chairman remarked that that was a very satisfactory acknowledgment, and the letter was received.
J. Penman was granted a transfer from Mcnnt Zion to Kaitangata, T. Stevens from Mornington to Kaitangata, and T. Thomson from Kaitangata to Mount Zion. The Northern Club applied for a, transfer to it of two boys from the Christian Brothers’ Club.—The transfers were held up till tho Christian Brothers’ Club became financial.
