The summary issued explains that tho decrease in imports previously announced was almost entirely duo to manufactured goods, which declined by £5,825,476. On the other hand tho export of raw materials increased by £3,089,781. Coal increased by £3,185,541. Tho chief increases in imports are: raw cotton, £3,727,150; raw materials generally, £5,637,029. Food imports declined by £4,525,714, of which grain and flour were responsible for over £4,000,000 A. and N.Z. Cable.
