An upside-down aero engine, constructed for a two-seater fighting aeroplane, was tested in tho Napier works at Acton, Middlesex. The engine, which is known as tho inverted Napier Lion, is an exact reversal of tho ordinary engine, having its crank caso at the top and its cylinders beneath, and has been so constructed as to enable tho pilot of a fighting plane to have an uninterrupted viewj forward of his machine.
