HARRIERS
Harriers clubs held runs on Saturday.— Carcrsham ran from George Street i, v,;.-: enlilisted to Hitchcock ami Diamond to lay the trail, which colored a large amount of country. Commencing from the school, the (rail led up Duke street and through the reservoir, whence it wound through the Fc.rnloaf Gorge. From there it passed to the high hills at the back of the city through Roaring Hell’s Pass, and across a precipitous rocky stretch of country until the road was reached. The road led in a winding circuit a-, far as the Waikari Hospital. To- tr-i! 'hen led down i n to the Kaikorai VaEcy, up into Highgato, down ; ,-e. ~ a, mg the Or.eeil’s Drive, and, by way of Park street, into George street. Those who figured prominently were Tapp, Gibb, Crimp, A, Grass, and A. Frye. Civil" ,Sorviie held their run from the George Street School. The trail was up over the hill towards the golf links. The pack then, struck off towards the reservoir, where some sprinting was indulged in. Tlie trail next led down hill to the I’aner Mills. The pace then increased considerably, and a fast run home resulted in R. Rout and C. Wilson being well un.
