COUNCILLOR H. L. TAPLEY. There -was a largo and representative meeting hold last night at the committee rooms, 195 Princes street, in support of the candidature of Cr H/ L. Taploy for the mayoral chair. Mr A. Devlin presided 1 . The proceedings were most unanimous. The chairman "remarked that in Or Tapley the citizens would have a capable and thoroughly representative man. _ He felt sure that the various committees would do everything in their power to have Cr Taploy returned at the head of the poll. , ~ ~ Cr Tapley, in reply, outlined! his policy, and thanked his many supporters for the enthusiasm displayed. To-night, at Barron’s Hall, _ North Dunedin. Cr Tapley will discuss m detail the various points in his platform. Cr Larnach will speak at South Dunedin to-night.
