TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In a very brief letter your correspondent ‘‘Catholic 11 says that to all intents and purposes the Catholic Federation is dead. I have been a member since its first institution in Dunedin, and I can assttro him it is quite alive and well, and doing the work it look in hand to do—namely, to advence education to defend the rights of our people. It is nonpolitical ; it interferes in no way with any other religious body, though it is frequently attacked; but, strange to say, no definite charge is ever laid against it. The reason is obvious.—l am. etc.. Another Catholic. April 19.
