The Free Stale authorities arrested three rebel leaders—Frank Barnett, com mander of the western division; Sean Gaynor, western division; and Tod Andrews. Tho first two are described as very important captures. Monsignor Lazio, tho Papal Envoy, is interviewing public bodies, with a view to’ securing peace.—A. and N.Z. Cable. REFUGE IN AMERICA. NEW YORK, April 16. Five hundred and fifty Irishmen arriving in the steerage of the Carmania on British and Free State passports, were declared by several of their number to be members of the Irish Republican army who left because they were weary of the turmoil and fighting that led nowhere. Several of them intimated that a lull in the fighting was expected shortly, although they firmly declared that tho Irregulars had’not given up the fight against the Free State. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
