COLLAPSE OF MARKET. A further cable message received by Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. in Wellington advises that the London butter market has gone from bad to worse. ()’• Monday tho market closed at 1645, and it is difficult to sell at this price. Several Now Zealand steamers have arrived, and stocks arc accumulating. The exports from Denmark last weak were close to 2,000 tons, 84 per cent, of which were sent to the, United Kingdom. There -has also been a severe drop in the cheese market, which closed weak at 112, for white and 116 s for colored. Now season’s Canadian cheddar cheese is now offering at 100 s per cwt, c.i.f., for prompt shipment. Messrs A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of tho following cable from their principals, Messrs J, and J. Lonsdale and Co., Ltd., London, dated tho 16th Inst.:—“ weak and declining: stocks accumulating:' Butter, 1645; cheese, 116 s, 120 s. Lower prices expected,’’
