“THE FAMOUS DIGGERS”

There is the digging that simply tickles the surface, and there is the digging that unearths the hidden. The Famous Diggers dig in both styles, thus providing the laughter which is ns a crackle of thorns under a pot, also the merriment that comes intellectually. All classes of patrons arc catered for. The joke superficial and the joke profound are botli in the bill. Also plentiful entertainment for the eye. Gus Dawson and Diana Tabor dance delightfully. Also very nice music, light and bright and good. Music of this class _is just as worthy as the ponderous music. The public is deeply indebted to Mr Tano Faina for bringing such an excellent show to Dunedin, and to the individual performers for consistently doing their best. Such thoughts must have occurred to the large and appreciative audience at His .Majesty’s Theatre last night, and, as the temperature outside inclined to the frosty, there was doubtless a feeling of gratitude in respect to the warming of the house to a pleasant degree. The same programme is to be repeated this evening.
