VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL. The following vessels arc expected to bo within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night : Auckland. —Tofua, Mahia, Kauri, Indian City, Fiona, Kaitoka. Chatham Islands.—Port Adelaide.^ Wellington.—. Maori, Wahinc. Ngaio, Tahiti, Ulirnaroa, Tutanekai, Ron Nicholson. THE INDIAN CITY. An interesting arrival at Wellington last Wednesday evening was the iteadon Smith Line steamer Indian City, from Port Arthur, Texas, which is on her first trip to New Zealand. Built in 1920 at Stockton-on-Tocs, the Indian City traded from North and South America to the United Kingdom and the Continent. She is an oil-burning vessel, and has a cargo capacity of .10,000 tons. Her registered tonnage is 6,221 tons, and she is equipped with every modern device for the rapid handling of cargo. She left New 1 ork on February 7 for Now Orleans, which port she cleared on February 16 for Port Arthur, where she completed loading, and sailed on February 23 for Wellington. She experienced fine weather on the run across the Pacific, and made good progress, one day logging 12.4, and averaging 11 knots. She has 16.000 cases ol ml and general cargo for discharge at Wellington, and will later proceed to Auckland. THE CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Constructor, en route from Halifax via Australian ports, is expected to leave Adelaide about April 4 for Bluff, Dunedin. Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The vessel is dim at Auckland about the end of April, and will complete leading at that port for New York, Boston, and Montreal.

CAPTAIN A. S. M‘GIBBON. Advice has been received of the death in London of Captain A. S. .M'Gibbon, who for many years traded between New Zealand and Britain, lie commanded at various times the steamers Devon, Surrey, Kent, Essex, and Cumberland (Federal Shire Line), He was in charge of the last-named steamer when she was mined while Homeward hound off the Australian roast. Captain M'Cibbon conveyed some of the contingents to South Africa during the Boer War. He married Miss A. Lexbnrgh, of Christchurch, who survives him. Captain M'Gibbon retired from the service two years ago, and resided in London. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. AUCKLAND, April 2. —Arrived: Kauri (7 a.m.), from Lyttelton.
